Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,

As we step into the delightful spring season, our school is abuzz with excitement and anticipation for the many upcoming events and activities.

Spring Weather and Outdoor Fun:
With the arrival of warmer weather, our playgrounds have become lively hubs of activity. Children are relishing the opportunity to splash in puddles and revel in the joy of getting a little muddy. Please ensure they come prepared with appropriate outdoor attire to fully enjoy these springtime adventures.

Junior Basketball and Co-ed Volleyball Coaches:
We extend our sincerest gratitude to our dedicated Junior Basketball and Co-ed Volleyball Coaches for their unwavering commitment and passion in nurturing our young athletes. Your hard work and guidance are truly appreciated. A big thank you to Ms. Reynolds, Mrs. Twizell, Mrs. Denny, Mrs. McFarlane, Mrs. Holbrough and Mr. Kemp.

Family Night Appreciation:
A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us for Family Night. Your presence and participation made the event a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and connection within our school. A big shout out to Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. Viherjoki who were driving forces behind the event.

Welcome to Kindergarten Evening:
Families with young children that are joining our Panther community are invited to our Welcome to Kindergarten Evening on Wednesday May 8th. This special event offers a glimpse into the exciting journey that awaits our newest students as they begin their educational adventure with us. It will include time in the classroom exploring, meeting the staff and even taking that first ride on a school bus.

Spring Concert:
Mark your calendars for our highly anticipated Spring Concert, where our talented students will dazzle us with their musical performances on Tuesday May 14th. It promises to be an evening filled with melody and harmony. A huge thank you to all the work of Mr. Gibbs and staff with supporting our Spring performance.

EQAO Testing:
As part of our commitment to academic excellence, EQAO testing for our Grade 3 and Grade 6 students is quickly approaching. We encourage all students to approach these assessments with confidence and diligence. We will be conducting our testing for the Gr. 3’s - May 21st to 24th and the Gr. 6’s will be on May 27th to the 30th.

Sports and Extracurriculars:
Our athletes are gearing up for an action-packed season ahead, with 3-pitch baseball and track and field events on the horizon for Junior and Intermediate grades. We look forward to seeing our students showcase their skills and sportsmanship on the fields and around the track.

Grade 8 Graduation:
Our Grade 8 students are nearing the end of their journey at Orchard Park PS, and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments. We eagerly anticipate celebrating this significant milestone with them on June 25th at the upcoming graduation ceremony hosted at OSS.

As we embrace the spirit of renewal that spring brings, let us continue to support and uplift one another as a school community. Remember if you can be anything Panthers, be KIND!

Warm regards,
Mr. Chater

Spring is here - and our den is FULL of a variety of clothing, with lots of t-shirts and tank tops ready for the nicer weather. We have a variety of spring jackets, splash pants and running shoes as well. All the clothes, shoes, etc. have been donated and cleaned, ready for a new person to take them home.

The Den is available to all families in our school (parents, siblings, grandparents, students, etc.) and come in a wide range of sizes. If you are wanting to check it out, message your child's teacher or the office and they will arrange a time to shop!
