Happy New Year!!!
What a month we had in December, it was filled with many wonderful examples of Panther community spirit. Our students celebrated and participated in Diwali, Hanukkah and the Orchard Park Holiday Concert. Thank you to Mr. Gibbs and all the students for making this a huge success. It was really nice to have so many community members able to join us for two days of performances, even if Mother Nature did throw us a curve (snow) ball. In addition, our students participated in several theme days, staff spent time learning in various professional learning groups focusing on Math Curriculum, Literacy workshops and First Aid Recertification programs. It was a busy, but an exciting month.
It was great to see all the smiling faces of our Panthers return on Monday morning, even some of the grade 8’s smiled. A lot of time on the yard was spent talking about the exciting things that happened over the break, trips, gaming, seeing friends and not surprisingly, sleeping was at the top of most student lists. We are going to hit the ground running this January with basketball starting for the boys, volleyball starting for the girls and a strong possibility of a Jr. (Gr. 3-6) Volleyball program starting for both boys and girls in February. Stay tuned for more information to follow about Chess, other clubs and the talent show preparation. It is great to have the school full again, all the best and be well.

Kindergarten is the beginning of a wonderful journey of learning, and we want your child to begin their journey in a SCDSB school! Do you have a child who is turning four in 2024?
